Freer Park fish stocking for youth fishing tournament
The Rensselaer County Conservation Alliance wants the state to stock trout or panfish in Freer Park's pond so low-income Troy kids can hold a fishing tournament, but DEC refused, citing a policy against stocking waters that aren't trout habitat — even though it stocks Albany's Six Mile Waterworks. The group asked the Legislature to pass a resolution urging the state to make an exception.
Family Court parking agreements
The county continues renting parking spaces near Family Court in Troy so people handling custody, support, and other family court matters have somewhere to park.
