Freer Park fish stocking for youth fishing tournament

The Rensselaer County Conservation Alliance wants the state to stock trout or panfish in Freer Park's pond so low-income Troy kids can hold a fishing tournament, but DEC refused, citing a policy against stocking waters that aren't trout habitat — even though it stocks Albany's Six Mile Waterworks.
